Welcome to the World of Reflexology!

Reflexology is a deeply healing form of bodywork. Its effects on practitioner and client alike are very powerful and far-reaching. Facilitating a sense of deep connection and harmony within the recipient, this ancient art helps one become more internally integrated and balanced, thereby enhancing ones inner peace and healing potential.

Therapeutic reflexology provides a means to achieve vibrant health, increase energy, reduce pain and live a more dynamic and authentic life. Balance achieved in one person translates vitality and health to the rest of the community.

With the art and science of reflexology becoming one of the fastest growing complementary health care modalities in America, many people are choosing to include a reflexologist in their team of healthcare specialists. This facilitates an atmosphere in which practitioners can have a full, viable practice and a stimulating, rewarding career.

Increased public knowledge and experience of reflexology has brought greater demand for high quality work. The carefully designed diversity of our program enables students to provide effective and unique sessions that their clients treasure.

With two levels of Certification, our program accommodates students’ different needs in anatomy & physiology education.

This year we are thrilled to welcome special guest instructors Dorthe Krogsgaard & Peter Lund Frandsen from Denmark to teach their world-class workshop, “Round About The Neck ”, and Geraldine Thompson Villeneuve from Vermont to teach a class she is developing for this occasion, “Awakening the Microcosm of the Feet”.

If you would like to experience reflexology for yourself, call (206) 284-8389 to set up an appointment.

About Reflexology and Massage

What is Reflexology? A Description of Massage

Reflexology is a natural science and art used to promote overall health and well being. It is a simple and noninvasive healing modality requiring no drugs, medications or special equipment. Reflexology is based on the principle that the feet, hands and ears are microcosms (mini-maps) of all systems of the body. Specific manual pressure to any of the microcosms stimulates the corresponding part (reflex) of the body as well as the nervous system. Focused stimulation of the reflexes helps release stagnant toxins, thereby reducing stress on the body. This in turn helps improve circulation, restore energy flow and vitality to all systems of the body and promote internal balance.

Massage is a wonderful way to maintain health and helps to reduce susceptibility to illness and injury. The relaxation fostered by massage is a very effective means to rejuvenate the nervous and muscular systems, improve the health of skin, promote digestion and enhance circulation of blood and lymph.
