Aromatherapy is the use of essential oils for health and well-being. Each individual healing situation is
unique; an aromatherapist must consider numerous pieces of information when determining the best form of
essential oil support for a client. During this intensive weekend, Joy Hause provides participants with
the skills they need to choose appropriate essential oils for clients in a variety of health care settings.

When Lisa Hensell invited SRMC founder Geraldine (Thompson) Villeneuve to Seattle to teach her current
approach to reflexology and most effective techniques, Geraldine was inspired to develop this class. In this
exciting class opportunity, Geraldine will guide students in their exploration of a primitive approach to studying
the feet as a microcosm. She will assist students in developing the connection between the minds’ eye and the thumb
by taking a fantastic voyage into the body through the feet. Students will learn successful tools to enhance
reflexology sessions by knowing how to read the feet both visually and through tactile understanding.
Prerequisites: As this is an advanced elective class, we request that you have completed at least 60-90 hours of
documented practice hours.
In this very special class, reflexologist Neil McNeill will share various concepts of energy awareness and its use in your practice of reflexology. Including descriptions of energy through the lenses of both spirituality and science, this class will offer a chance to personally experience and more deeply understand energy, as well as how to sense and direct it. You will also learn basic grounding and shielding techniques.

This class will provide an interesting enhancement to your current reflexology practice. On Saturday, instructor Joy Hause will communicate the basic concepts and functions of aromatherapy, how to blend oils with other products, and how to design an aromatherapy-based reflexology session. Sunday will be a day of learning aromatherapy & spa treatments for the feet, focusing on the use of products such as mud, clay and seaweed masks and on how to perform hot stone therapy on the feet. Join Lisa Dowling as she offers techniques for the layperson to help prolong the benefits of reflexology
sessions. Utilizing the reflexology map, specific point work and techniques for common ailments, she will teach
you how to prolong the effects of your sessions and to help yourself with issues such as sinus congestion,
headaches, TMJ, fatigue, digestive problems, infertility and general stress. She will focus on exercises for the
feet and toes, and discuss shoe health in brief. This is a class geared toward those who are new to reflexology.
In this class, Lisa Dowling offers her considerable experience using reflexology techniques to help improve fertility in women and men. This class is designed for people who are new to reflexology and for students who would like to share reflexology with their loved ones. Couples are encouraged to attend, as students will be given techniques that they can use on each other at home to help increase fertility naturally.
Learn an entire one-hour sequence for the ears, the hands, the feet, and all three combined. This class is taught by
Bill Flocco and is one of our most popular electives. Bill will teach you how to utilize and integrate the use of ear,

with other alternative therapies to help clients with MS manage their symptoms. Lisa will discuss the many
symptoms of the disease and how it affects each person differently. She will help you to develop a session
for your clients with MS and a mini-session that they can do themselves.

We are thrilled to announce the return of Danish reflexology experts Dorthe Krogsgaard and Peter Lund Frandsen to Seattle! This class will focus on reflexology techniques that are effective in addressing neck problems such as acute pain, cervical headaches, arthritis, recurring neck tensions, slipped discs and whiplash injuries. Techniques will include Classical Reflexology, Touchpoint muscle reflexes on the feet, Nerve Reflexology, the use of trigger points, and more. Appreciating the important influence from the neck to other parts of the body will make neck work a natural part of any reflexology session.
