Karen Ball was trained and certified by the Reflexology Association of Canada as a practitioner in 1983 and an instructor in 1985. She is a graduate of the Florida School of Massage in Gainesville and on staff there as an instructor. She is certified by the American Reflexology Certification Board, both as a practitioner and continuing education provider. Maryejo del Meijer has been in the healing/transformational field since 1983. She studied with Robert St John, the founder of Metamorphosis, for two years and has been practicing and teaching this approach since 1984. Maryejo is a Licensed Massage Therapist and holds an MA degree in Spiritual Counseling Psychology. She has a Bodywork/Coaching Practice in Santa Barbara California and has worked with thousands of clients. Currently she's specializing in working with pregnant women and writing a book for birth educators with the principles of Metamorphosis.
Gabi Domes-Giebel was certified and licensed as a Physical Therapist in Germany in 1986. She has been using Reflexotherapy since she took her first Reflexotherapy of the Feet class at the Hanne Marquardt School in 1992 and since 1997 in her home-based practice in Canada. Gabi began teaching Reflexotherapy classes with Hanne in the US and Canada in 2006 and started training to be a teacher with the Hanne Marquardt School in 2007. Gabi now teaches Reflexotherapy of the Feet for health practitioners in both Canada and the US.
Lisa Dowling, LMP, NBCR approaches teaching from the principle of holistic wellness. In her spunky style, she integrates principles and concepts with hands-on practice, reinforcing wholeness of body and mind. Applying her background in nutrition and health, Lisa teaches Introduction to Reflexology, Structural Analysis for the Foot and Lower Leg, Fundamentals of Addressing Foot Pain, ARCB Review Sessions, Reflexology for Nutritional Concerns, Self-care for Reflexologists and Reflexology for Fertility, Pregnancy and Birth.
Bill Flocco, LMP is a well-known national and international lecturer and has been instructing classes for over 25 years. His research study documenting the effectiveness of reflexology was the first to be published in scientific medical literature in the United States (December 1993 Obstetrics and Gynecology). Bill adds unique dimension to his classes by incorporating the most current international reflexology updates, which he picks up in his world travels. Peter Lund Frandsen has studied modern physics and philosophy in the US, and medicine at University of Copenhagen, Denmark. He has studied and practiced reflexology since 1990. For many years Peter has been actively involved with the Danish Reflexologists Association (FDZ), where he coordinates the association's international activities. International lecturer and author of many articles on various aspects of reflexology, Peter will co-teach Round About: Digestion.
Lisa Hensell, LMP, NBCR, owner and director of SRMC since 1999, has been practicing reflexology since 1996. Drawing on years of experience with a busy practice, Lisa enjoys sharing what she knows of reflexology with her clients and students. She is passionate about the power of reflexology to assist physical healing and enhance psychological and spiritual well-being, and infuses her classes with dynamic clinical and holistic approaches. Teri Hoskins is a licensed nail technician (since 1986), certified reflexologist (since 1995) and teacher of reflexology (since 1997). After running several US branches of an international reflexology school, she founded “The Greatest Pedicure & Reflexology” company, combining her training as a nail technician and reflexologist. Having studied Chinese 5 Element Theory and the 12 associated energy meridians for 8 years, she now combines this knowledge with her expertise in reflexology to present both Meridians & Reflexology & Advanced Meridians & Reflexology.
With 24 years of full time experience in her Copenhagen-based practice, Dorthe Krogsgaard is a reflexology veteran in Denmark. Throughout her career she has been actively involved in raising the profession's standards and documenting its effects. Dorthe has served as chairperson for the Danish Reflexologists Association, FDZ, and was instrumental in establishing FDZ's Research Committee in 1991. International lecturer, past board member and vice-president of the International Council of Reflexologists, she will co-teach Round About: Digestion.
Laurie Levy, LMP, MA and Certified Doula has been teaching adults about their bodies for the past decade. Laurie has taught adults in community college, massage school and cadaver lab settings. Laurie is passionate about bringing knowledge of the biological self to non-medical professionals so that they can better take care of their 'home' - their body. Laurie teaches Introduction to Anatomy & Physiology I & II.
Chris Marston, LMP, NBCR has been in private practice in Queen Anne for seventeen years. He started his teaching career at SRMC and instructed reflexology at Brenneke/Cortiva Massage School for 12 years. As a reflexologist, through education and hands on work Chris helps people realize the health benefits that naturally functioning feet have for body, mind and spirit. Neil McNeill owns Medicine Bear Healing Arts, his Seattle-based private practice. He holds a Mastery Certification in Reflexology, is a Reiki and subtle energies practitioner, a registered counselor, and a student of both Native American shamanic belief systems and modern consciousness studies. He will teach Introduction to Reflexology and Energy Awareness & Reflexology.
Jessica Sohl, LMP has a private reflexology and massage practice in Redmond.
